The Yangchai cylinder head production line adds intelligent equipment.

On November 17, 2021, the delivery ceremony for the robot intelligent recognition automatic loading and unloading project of the Yangchai 2.5N cylinder head production line was successfully held in the Yangchai workshop. The newly upgraded intelligent equipment replaced the visual recognition function by rewriting the robot program, and also adopted dual-layer roller technology (upper layer for loading blanks, lower layer for finished product discharge). After recent testing and operation, the project met all performance indicators and functional requirements of the production line, successfully passed the equipment acceptance, and was delivered for production. This project was completed successfully with the joint efforts of colleagues from the technical department, maintenance team, and electrical team. The company expresses sincere gratitude for the hard work of those involved in the project design, installation, and debugging.

This project overcame various challenges in the intelligent transformation of the machining industry: rewriting the robot program to replace the visual recognition function, achieving automatic palletizing by the robot; and intelligently distinguishing between finished products and blanks. By using an old Fanuc robot, automatic grabbing and automatic roller conveyor were realized, which not only reduced the labor intensity of employees compared to the previous manual loading and unloading methods, but also significantly improved production efficiency and increased capacity, while eliminating safety hazards. During the transformation process, all idle old equipment and materials were utilized, achieving low cost, high return, and intelligence.

The replacement of manual operations with intelligent automation equipment is the future development trend. In the face of increasingly fierce market competition, the company will continue to promote the reduction of labor intensity, improvement of production efficiency, and release of capacity, adhering to the development path of information technology and intelligent automation, laying the foundation for the company's industrial upgrade and the creation of intelligent factories.
